hello girls!haha it's been almost a year since anyone posted so i have decided to revive the blog people!(if anyone even visits the blog anymore)Anyway, wed was FANTASTIC!i haven't had so much fun in ages=)may we have many more 'keep fit days' in future. I miss all those days of slacking around in the canteen and hitting around on the pitch=)i love hockey girls!we must get together again soon!!!

i still haven't come to terms with the fact that season is over.
i feel that when school reopens, trainings will resume.
after school i'd ring jean up and we'll meet up, sit, talk cock and eat dao huay.
then, maybe the treehouse.
and we'd wait for you all to arrive one by one.
then baby would come up with the toughest and weirdest pt to do and we'd bluff the gullible ones.
we'd either go down early to hit around.
or we'd head down to happening 10 minutes before training starts.
we'd steal each other's valuables, sleep in the toilet, sing and dance.
during training we'd focus.
doing drills dillgently without complaint.
but once training ends we'd break into a frenzy of song and dance.
don't cha, latino songs, boyband songs, orientation dances, xunai-xunai-desmond-desmond cheers.
then we'd go for fluppee and shiver from the cold after that but we wouldn't care.
and we'd stand in a line and give each other our signature handsign.
and i'd take 43 with xunai and we'd talk till the cows come home.

nope, someone please tell me it doesn't end here.

we've come a long, long way.
people have either doubted us or said without a care that 'AIYAHH, the hockey girls sure win one la'.
but little do they know how much we've been through and the obstacles we've faced.
injury after injury, clarity's cheryl's and kavina's departure.
those who aren't involved would never understand what the team has gone through.
but thanks to all these barriers, we've grown stronger as a team and as individuals.
i have to say, i've had my really bad days.
after fracturing my finger, not being able to play in bangkok, dealing with shin splints.
but you all made things so much easier to bear for me.
i would have just broke down every single day without your support and concern.

i have to admit, that i had my doubts about clinching the championship.
my self confidence hit rock bottom right before nationals started.
but once again, thanks to all the support i got from the team, i felt myself improving.
and it was the most wonderful feeling in the world.
knowing that i've contributed to the team i love so dearly,
and seeing the team grow game after game.
watching qi and shee fly down the flanks.
xunai pumping balls up.
jean being skillful in the D.
joyce kicking away all balls that come in her way.
ruijean being aggressive and strong.
xinyi controlling the defence well and giving me all the confidence i need to commit myself to a tackle.
di having great positioning.
tracy scoring 20000 gorgeous goals.
liyuan supporting everybody on the pitch physically and metally.
zihua having strong hits and passing the ball swift.
baby being the best captain on the pitch anybody could ever have.
and joy, for being the solid wall and preventing all balls from getting past her.
i could just go on and on about how liberating it is watching each and every one of you display the evidence of hard work on the pitch.

before the sa game, xinyi wrote each of us a letter.
i remember how i felt after reading it.
psyched and ready to go.
"i walk in and play the game with no fear at all because i believe in all our defenders."
thanks xinyi, for trusting me and providing me with that boost of confidence.
i felt as though i played with double the determination from that game onwards.

i'd forever remember how i felt when the final whistle blew.
how we huddled together, celebrated and cried for each other.
all the hard work, pain and tears all paid off.
it was definitely a moment to remember.

i'd just like to thank you all for everything you have given me.
laughter, joy, support, love, care and concern.
like what xunai has said, words really cannot describe how i feel towards this team.
the amount of gratitude cannot be measured.
and i hope, with all my fingers and toes crossed, that we'd stay together as a team and share whatever we can.
be it joys or woes.
i'd want to be with you all when you all get boyfriends, when you all get married and when you all have kids.
when you get your first pay cheque or first promotion.
when you buy your first car or house.
i'd want to be there always.

if somebody were to ask me what was the most important thing i brought away from victoria junior college,
i'd say, without hesitation,
